Saint Expeditus is patron saint of all urgent matters. He also goes by the name Saint Expeditus. He is also patron saint against procrastination.

He is the saint of emergencies. He likes speed.

If you need an immediate solution to a problem, you can turn to Saint Expeditus.

Many turn to him when faced with financial difficulties, job searches, or legal matters.

Who was Saint Expeditus?

Little is known about him. Just the fact that he died as a soldier martyr in the Armenian city of Melitene. In some manuscripts, Expeditus' name is written as Elpidius. He died along with four other soldiers: Hermogenes, Gaius, Aristonicus and Rufus. It is believed that he lived in the fourth century. He was a Roman soldier. This is why most depictions of Expeditus show him as a soldier in clothing.

As a soldier he learned about Christianity. He decided that he wanted to convert to Christianity and dedicate his life to this new faith.

As soon as he made that decision, the devil appeared before him in the form of a crow. The devil demanded that he postpone his decision to join the Christian faith until the next day.

Expeditus refused, stating firmly that he would become a Christian today.

This is why images show Saint Expeditus stepping on a crow. He kills procrastination.
