Mother of the Unborn

Miss Tidwell, an American artist, was inspired
to paint this beautiful depiction of our Blessed Mother grieving over the
millions of aborted babies. Normally, a picture like this would take months to
finish. She completed this one in two hours.

Quotations from Mother Teresa
regarding the killing of the unborn |

Life is a gift that God has given us. That life is present even in the
unborn. A human hand should never end a life. I am convinced that the
screams of the children whose lives have been terminated before their birth
reach God's ears.
I am sure that all people know deep down inside that the
little child in the mother's womb is a human being from the moment of
conception, created in the image of God to love and be loved. Let us pray
that nobody will be afraid to protect that little child, to help that
little child to be born. Jesus said: 'If you receive a little child in My
Name, you receive Me. For me, life is the most beautiful gift of
God to mankind, therefore people and nations who destroy life by abortion and
euthanasia are the poorest. I do not say legal or illegal, but I think that
no human hand should be raised to kill life, since life is God's life in us,
even in an unborn child.
Please don't kill the child. I want the child. I am willing to
accept any child who would be aborted and give him or her to a married couple
who will love the child and be loved by the child. At our children's home in
Calcutta alone, we have saved over 3,000 children from abortion. These
children have brought so much love and joy to their adoptive parents and have
grown up so full of love and joy.
By
abortion, the mother kills even her own child to solve her problems. And,
by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any
responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That
father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion
leads to abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its
people to love but to use violence to get what they want. This is why the
greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. Unborn children are
among the poorest of the poor. They are so close to God. I always ask
doctors at hospitals in India never to kill an unborn child. If there is
no one who wants it, I will take it. A great poverty reigns in a country
that allows taking the life of an unborn child--a child created in God's
image, created to live and to love. His or her life is not for destroying
but for living, despite the selfishness of those who fear that they lack
the means to feed or educate one more child.
I
see God in the eyes of every child--every unwanted child is welcomed by
us. We then find homes for these children through adoption.

You know, people worry all the time about innocent
children being killed in wars, and they try to prevent
this. But what hope is there is stopping it if mothers kill their own
children? Every life is precious to God, whatever the circumstances. In
Isaiah, chapter 43, verse 4, God says, 'You are precious to Me and I love
you'.
We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars,
of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to
kill each other.
The stars round Mary's head represent the crown of the Woman of the
Apocalypse (12.1):' A woman adorned with the sun, standing on the moon, and with
the twelve stars on her head for a crown'. The large star is the Star of
Bethlehem. The rose coloured ball in the lower left corner is the earth in
turmoil. The glow of her most Immaculate Heart is an evident sign of her
tremendous love for all her children, especially the most helpless of all.
The incesant weeping over this horrendous evil has blackened her lovely eyes.
The baby's Guardian Angel seems to be both saddened over the death of his
charge and grateful for the Blessed Mother's care and concern.
The baby bears the five wounds of our Precious Saviour. Note, both baby and
Angel are weeping and the baby's hands are clasped in prayer. The reason the Blessed Mother's hand and nails are dirty is because she has
to scoop and dig out these precious souls from trash bins, garage dumps and as
in Wichita, Kansa, from a pile ready to be buried with dead animals at their dog
pound.
Where do babies come from?

A
Mother's Prayer

Beloved Presence of God,
hear our prayer...
We request in the name of the Most Holy Christ, legions of angels to
protect Your beloved little ones.
We pray that angels shield their eyes and ears from that which offends
Thee.
We pray that angels stay the hands of those who would hurt or defile the
innocence of children.
We pray for bands of Angels of Love, Strength and Purity
to shield the bodies and hearts of Your little ones.
We implore Beloved Mother Mary to strengthen the love in each mother's
heart, and bless each mother with the wisdom, strength, and courage
needed to protect her child in these times.
May Blessed Mother Mary's gentle counsel of Wisdom, Love and Peace be
heard in every mother's heart the world over.
We pray that the miracle of Beloved Mary's council will inspire families
to love one another. We pray for Angels of Peace and Love to enter the
hearts of all the families of the World. May Peace reign in the home,
and so in the world.
We request
this in the name of Jesus the Most Holy Christ.

Amen. |
